FINAL REMINDER – Your Password Will Be Reset Soon

Due to an increase in abuse complaints originating from accounts on the Mr.Host system, we’ve opted to increase our minimum password requirements, for both account logins and email addresses configured on the Mr.Host system.

All Mr.Host customers should login to the Customer Control Panel to reset your passwords.

You must update your email account password by Wednesday March 8th, 2017.

Any email accounts that do not meet the new passwords requirements by then will be automatically reset, and you will no longer have access to your email.

Control Panel Updates

We’re happy to announce that we’ve released a new version of the Mr.Host Customer Control Panel.

Most of the changes in this release were simply a face-lift, bringing the old, dated look of the Control Panel, to something more modern. Including, changes to the web stats sections, upgrading the graphs to more dynamic, JavaScript based graphs.

We’ve also, unfortunately, had to remove the Domain Privacy feature from the Control Panel. This feature used to be a free add-on available to us from our domain provider, so Mr.Host in-turn provided it free to all our domain registration customers. Unfortunately, our domain provider has decided to start charging for this feature- at a significant cost.

We’ll likely re-add this feature at a later date, as a premium domain add-on- for those customers that would like to pay an additional fee to have this service, but Mr.Host will no longer be able to provide this feature free of charge.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us anytime,

Happy Holidays!

Website and Control Panel Upgrades

We’re excited to announce a brand new Mr.Host website, as well as this new system status and update blog.

From now on all upgrades, planned maintenance windows, and any unexpected downtime will be blogged via this new interface, so all Mr.Host customers will always have up-to-date information about their services.

We’ve also expanded the Knowledge Base, integrating it directly into the main website, and added much more information to help customers get up and running faster.

We’ve also added a new feature to the Customer Control Panel for domain registration customers. You can now enable domain whois privacy for any domain registered with Mr.Host for FREE!

This feature hides your contact details from the public whois database, protecting your contact details. This also makes your e-mail address private, which should help reduce the amount of e-mail SPAM you receive.

By default the whois privacy setting is disabled; log in to the Customer Control Panel to update it for any domain registered through Mr.Host.

If you have any questions about these upgrades, please let us know.

Customer Control Panel Enhancements

This is a quick note to let you know about some new features recently added to the Mr.Host Customer Control panel.

Domain Registrations,  Renewals, and Transfers

You can now register new domains, renew existing domains, and even transfer-in domains you have registered with other registrars. Renewing, registering or transferring a domain requires a valid credit card on your account for the domain pre-payment.

Improved Domain Management

We’ve added more features to the existing domain management section, including:

  • the ability to adjust the locking status of your domain, to protect your domain from un-authorized changes or transfers.
  • the ability to adjust the renewal setting for your domains, so you can set important domains to automatically renew each year, and domains you won’t want anymore, to automatically expire.

We recommend you take note and adjust the renewal setting of your domains as needed.

One-Time Credit Card Payments

You can now make simple, one-time credit card payments, from any credit card listed on your account. The credit card will be processed, and posted to your account immediately.

Database Management

You can now add/remove MySQL databases to/from your account. The easy-to-use interface provides you with all the required values to connect to your new database, as well as a one-click sign-on to the web-based database administration interface.

If you have any questions or concerns about these upgrades, please let us know.
