Do I have to put my cgi scripts in a special cgi-bin directory? Where is it?

Yes.

All your CGI scripts need to be placed inside your ‘cgi-bin’. This is located directly inside your home directory (outside of the mydomain.com directory), along with your website directories.

Any files placed inside your cgi-bin, will be visible at /cgi-bin/ on your website URL.

For example, if you place the CGI script ‘counter.cgi’ in your cgi-bin, it will be visible by browsing to:

www.mydomain.com/cgi-bin/counter.cgi
